Through our network and with guidance from Advisory Team members, we identify and support individual refugees and groups across communities.

We collaborate with local humanitarian actors on various aspects of our grantmaking. The level of collaboration with each local actor depends on context and community.

We find and listen to refugee leaders and publicize grant opportunities in relevant languages and in ways that ensure broad awareness and participation among refugees.

After review from our Advisory Team and local collaborators, our Board of Directors select refugee initiatives to fund. Selected initiatives are announced and showcased across our platforms.

We provide grantees with a “Welcome” packet including a letter from our team and grant guidelines and agreement. We offer introductions to other refugee-led initiatives, connections with peers and experts, and management and leadership resources.

We document our process every step of the way. We work with each grantee to collect the information necessary to evaluate their initiatives. We share insights and results with donors and humanitarian partners.
